Year 9 Maths

It has been a good start to Term One and it has been exciting to meet new students. Thus far, the Year 9’s have settled in well and are adapting to the work load.

Throughout Term One we will be covering Chapter Two – Pythagoras’ Theorem and Chapter Three – Algebra. Students will be learning how to expand and factorise Algebraic expression. They will also be learning the real - life applications of the work pertaining to Phytagoras’ Theorem.

I want to also remind parents that as a school, we have reintroduced the DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) program. After recess, students are expected to come to class with a novel of their interest and read for 15 minutes. It is significant for our students to develop the habit of reading since it can assist with developing their vocabulary and literacy skills.
